Ash is in foster in Staffordshire, with Auntie Karen and his character is really coming out. Ash is very people orientated, that is once he sees you as the “leader”. He follows Auntie Karen everywhere!  He loves his cuddles and a good old belly rub. When he really trusts you, he loves relaxing whilst you massage his feet (sorry, paws!). He is a very loving dog who likes his sleep and will be guaranteed to brightened your day with his crazy antics!

However, Ash is a typical Pekingese/Tibetan Spaniel and would be suited to an owner who has experience of this breed and understands their feistiness and quirks.

Ash is living with 2 other dogs and gets on well with them. He is a playful little boy who is desperate to play with other dogs he meets on his walks but does not yet understand about boundaries and, can sometimes, get a little feisty. He is still scared with strangers and will bark at them but he is learning this is not acceptable.

Ash walks well on his lead but can be lead reactive if he sees another dog. He will charge and for this reason is walked with a muzzle and always kept on a lead.

He is house trained and has so far been good with his foster cats but they are dog savvy. Ash could be re-homed as an only dog or with other dogs. Once the pack is established, he will be loving and playful but any potential owners need to understand this will take time.

Ash is such a sweetheart but any potential adopter will need to have an understanding of this breed and be prepared to continue his socialisation and training.

Ash is approximately 2 years old. Ash was rescued, along with his brothers, from gypsies and then taken to a basic private shelter in Romania.

Ash is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and deflead and has a passport.
